Roxaboxen – 2nd-5th Grade (August 1 – August 5, 2022)

This camp is based on the beloved book Roxaboxen, the true story of a group of ingenious children who created a town from nothing but rocks and boxes. We too will build an entire working town with a restaurant, artist colony, slime lab, and your child’s imagination. Come join us for this special week.

We will follow the COVID-19 Guidance provided by the California Department of Public Health and the Santa Clara County Public Health Department.

Please contact Daniela Gunther at dgunther@mulberry.org. The deadline for cancellations without incurring a fee is May 31st. After May 31st, cancellations for a reserved camp will incur a $75 processing fee. A full refund of the registration fee will be given if notice of withdrawal is received at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the camp. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund tuition after that.

Camp Mulberry reserves the right to cancel camp for any reason at any time and will refund the full registration fee.

Our camps are taught by Mulberry School faculty, staff, and Mulberry Alumni/Camp Alumni. Mulberry Staff and Faculty have been trained in Positive Discipline, emergency procedures, and basic first aid. Alumni camp leads are also trained in first aid and emergency procedures. We are proud that our alumni are excited to come back to work for our camps year after year. They are a cornerstone of our program and make it the special place that it is.

At Camp Mulberry, we like to get wet and dirty. We encourage all parents to send campers with a change of clothes and a towel because every camp provides opportunities to go outside and make a mess. We want our campers to enjoy all of the experiences offered.

Yes, we do. My Green Lunch provides healthy, organic, and sustainably sourced hot lunch. Their website is: mygreenlunch.com.

Whether we will offer Extended Care will depend on interest. On the registration form, please indicate whether you are interested in enrolling your child in extended care.

We have had several students with severe nut allergies enrolled in our school and camps. Mulberry takes these allergies very seriously and we, therefore, do all we can to discourage nuts of any kind on our campus. We encourage parents to find alternatives for their children’s lunches that exclude nuts or nut products.

All campers are asked to bring their own water to camp and are encouraged to drink throughout the day. All camps have air-conditioned indoor areas and outdoor areas covered by sun sails and/or tents. Leads evaluate outdoor conditions each day and modify plans to fit with what works best for daily heat and air quality. Parents may provide their own sunscreen (in a zip lock bag with the child’s name) that counselors will help apply to our youngest campers. Older children will be reminded to periodically apply sunscreen throughout the day.

Mulberry staff does not supply any sunscreen. Please drop it off with your camper on the first day of camp.
