Extended Care
Extended Care was developed in response to the growing need for quality, developmental childcare before and after school. The Extended Care program includes sports, games, and team-building activities.
Extended Care teachers are trained in positive discipline and use this approach to encourage children to regulate their own behavior. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and respectful after-school environment where children can interact with a variety of age groups. The program fosters the development of a positive self-concept by providing an environment that is accepting and supportive of every child. The daily schedule includes planned, supervised activities, both indoors and outdoors. A nutritious snack is served in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to visit the program, meet the teachers, and ask questions. To schedule an observation or for further information, please call the Mulberry office at 408-358-9080.
Hours
The Extended Care program is available to Mulberry students from Junior Kindergarten through 5th grade. Hours and holiday closures for the 22/23 school year will be posted soon. As a service to our families, care is offered on elementary school conference days and some in-service days.
Fees
There is no additional enrollment fee for Mulberry students. The cost is $17.00 per hour.
“Kids love it and never want to go home because it’s so fun. We get to draw, and read, and play with Legos. Our friends are there, so we get to be with them, and we can play outside too. It’s the funnest place in the world!”
