COVID-19 Safety Plan for In-Person Instruction
With a thorough and effective COVID-19 Safety Plan, we were able to open our campus to in-person learning at the beginning of the school year as one of the first schools in Santa Clara County and in California.
At Mulberry School, we know that in-person learning is best for children, providing engagement, connection, and opportunities for both social-emotional and academic growth. At the same time, the safety of Mulberry School students and staff is always our highest priority. Therefore, our plan is designed to provide the benefits of in-person learning while minimizing the risks to everyone’s health and safety on campus.
As the pandemic in Santa Clara County continues to evolve, we will continue to communicate with our county and state health departments to understand changing disease levels and control measures in our community. We will modify this plan as necessary, always according to state and county guidance.
Based on the framework and public health guidance developed by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), every public and private school offering or intending to offer in-person instruction must have a COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP) in place. Such COVID-19 Safety Plan consists of two parts: (1) the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Program (CPP) and (2) the COVID-19 School Guidance Checklist.
